Meet Alaine; proud owner of Foodish. Foodish has set up shop in the Market Kitchen Cooking School, providing customers with the opportunity to develop and create cooking skills in a fun and stimulating group environment.
“The idea behind Foodish is to bring people together to cook, as a way of imparting new skills but also forging stronger relationships” says Alaine. “That is why our theme is ‘Connecting through cooking’. We run cooking events and cooking classes, where people come together to engage in purposeful and creative activity and, in the process, make and eat beautiful food. For me, the best part of these classes is the friendships that are forged. People who initially don’t know each other can end the evening like good buddies.”
Foodish has an extensive cooking class schedule which you can view here, from Chefs Basics to intricate French cooking techniques that will have you saying ‘oh là là!’. Foodish also offers a range of other services, including private celebration cooking parties (think birthdays, hens parties, anniversaries etc.), as well as work-team building cooking. Check out the Foodish website for more details.
Check out the Foodish Facebook page for all of their ad hoc cooking demonstrations (with free samples, yum!), occurring regularly at the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets.
